Socksmith is a novelty sock brand based in Santa Cruz, CA with both B2B and B2C divisions. With the company being founded on the belief that self-expression is true beauty, Socksmith creates unique, high-quality socks designed to connect people from all walks of life. Their marketing reflects this focus on individuality with bold visuals and engaging copy, serving as a reminder to embrace and celebrate one’s true self unapologetically.

Socksmith’s social media strategy focused on engaging B2C customers with a fun and approachable tone. The content reflected the vibrant personality of the brand, featuring colorful designs that matched the playful nature of the socks. Posts celebrated holidays, announced new product launches, and highlighted partnerships with social media influencers to keep the content fresh, modern, and relatable.

Video Production

As Socksmith's in-house video producer, I planned, filmed, and edited videos, bringing the marketing team’s ideas to life.

Voice Over

As Socksmith’s in-house video editor, I aimed to go beyond visuals, adding a layer of emotion to better convey the story. I chose to record this voice over to accomplish that.

Animation

I created an animated logo variant for the “Socksmith Cares” initiative and animated it for use on the website and in email campaigns.

Sponsored Ad Video

In collaboration with the Frida Kahlo Corporation, I created this video to promote the launch of our new sock collection, adhering closely to their brand guidelines.

At the time, analytics showed that videos were the most effective way to drive social media engagement, so I focused on creating visually compelling and engaging clips that would capture attention while scrolling.

Typography

Socksmith celebrates individuality, so I aimed to go beyond basic text on images by designing custom lettering for graphics that reflected the brand's unique spirit.
